Welding Group
In the metal working group, we learn stick welding, wire welding, oxygen and acetylene welding, plasma cutting, grinding and how to use a chop saw. We learn shop safety, which is always strictly enforced. We will build projects for the fair and 4-H field day, along with projects that are of interest to the members. We have lots of fun learning how to properly work with metals. Members must wear jeans, close toe shoes and long sleeves. Scrap metal and welding supplies are provided for the members. If the member's project is large or we are out of material, the member will have to purchase their own supplies. The members need to bring a good attitude and be ready to learn a new skill that they can use for their entire life.
The meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at the Borden's house / shop at 7:00 pm.
If you are interested in joining the metal working group, call Aaron Borden at 391-6947 or e-mail him at [email protected].
